Description

SuperATV Yamaha Wolverine 6" Portal Gear Lift (PGH6-2-39-301-WOL)

Gen 3 Portals Are Geared for All

Whether you’re working or playing, it’s always nice to get some extra clearance under your Yamaha Wolverine—especially when that clearance comes with a torque boost. That’s exactly what you get with SuperATV’s GDP 6” Portal Gear Lift! We let you pick your gear reduction (30% or 45%) and housing material (billet or cast aluminum), so you can ride the way you want.

GDP—the Most Trusted Name in Portals

No matter what kind of portals you choose, you can ride easy knowing that you’re getting the most reliable portal gear lift on the market. SuperATV portals are the most trusted, tested, and proven. If you’re still unsure, just ask any of the thousands of riders who are already rolling on GDPs.

Perfect for Mud

You can’t do mud without a portal gear lift. Well, you can, but it wouldn’t be nearly as fun. GDP portals give you room for bigger tires and the torque needed to turn them, so you’ll be able to tackle the thickest peanut-butter mud with ease. Getting swamped just doesn’t happen when you’re riding on portals.

A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain

Portal gear lifts put the gear reduction directly in the hub, instead of in your transmission. This means your differential, prop shaft, axles, and transmission can do their job without collecting early wear and tear. You can ride as hard as you want knowing your machine’s most vital parts are in good hands.

Unmatched Gear Material

The gears are one of the most important components of a portal gear lift, which is why we use the most premium and top-of-the-line gears around. They’re made from 9310 alloy steel and are precision ground, so they mate perfectly and run quietly every time.

Stronger Housings by Design

Strong portal housings are hard to come by. They’re complex pieces of hardware that take years to perfect. Luckily, that’s exactly what the experts at SuperATV have done. Whether you choose cast aluminum or USA-made billet aluminum housings, you’re getting a box that can stand up to years of use and abuse.

  • Our housings are reinforced in all the right places
  • They’re built with better oil flow and gearing forces in mind
  • There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them

The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get

Our backing plates are 5/16” thick and made using an advanced steel alloy. This isn’t your grandpa’s steel—it’s even stronger than chromoly and specialized for ultra-high force applications. These backing plates will outlive your machine by a long shot, so don’t worry about taking it easy on them.

Advanced Gaskets and Seals

Whether you go with cast or billet, both housings use:

  • Advanced Thermo-Tork® gaskets with excellent oil resistance and a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets
  • A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
  • 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks

Bearings That Rock

Your bearings keep everything running smoothly, and if they fail, you’re left with a busted box. You won’t have to worry about bad bearings when you’re riding on GDP, though. We use roller bearings to hold our idler gear in place and our output bearing is a double-angular contact bearing, meaning it can handle huge loads in any direction without wearing prematurely. Like everything else from SuperATV, our portal bearings are built for battle.

Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors

Our precision-ground, stainless steel slotted rotors give you all the braking power you need. GDP portals also come with universal hubs—just another feature to make your life easier. They have 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns, so you can run nearly any UTV wheel in the world. We also invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs attach to. It gives you a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear as time goes on.

If you’re not sure which gear reduction is right for you, check out our portal gear reduction calculator. Just plug in your original tire size, new tire size, and top speed to find out what a reduction can do for your ride.
